Sergei Bobylev

Professor of the Economic Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University

Sergei Bobylev currently works as Professor of the Economic Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Vice President of the Center of Environmental Policy of Russia.

He was head and expert in the projects implemented by the Central Bank, UN Development Program, Global Environment Fund, Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Russian regional programs etc.

In 2007, he worked as visiting professor at the Paris Dauphine University.

In 1998 and 2004, he worked as visiting professor at Vienna Economic University.

In 1991–1992, he carried out research at Kennan Institute of the Woodrow Wilson Center.

In 1991–1992, he also served as a visiting professor at the leading universities of the USA (the universities of Berkley, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, George Washington, Maryland etc.).

Since 1977, he has worked at the Economic Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

In 1974, Sergei Bobylev graduated from the Economic Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

He is the author of over 150 research works and co-author of such textbooks as “Economics of Nature Management”, “Ecology and Economics Nature Management” and “Economics of Sustainable Development”.

Editor-in-chief of the Reports on Development of Human Potential in the Russian Federation for the UN Development Program (2000-2007).

Member of the Academic Board of the Economic Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Member of the Environmental Advisory Board under the Government of Moscow.

Member of the Editorial Board of “Ekologicheskoe Pravo” (Environmental Law) journal.

Sergei Bobylev is the winner of the tender of the Federal Agency on Press and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation with his textbook “Economics of Sustainable Development” (2004). Winner of the tender of the USSR Government for the best project on saving the Aral Sea (1990). Laureate of the award of the USSR Academy of Sciences for Young Scientists in the field of Economics (1982). Winner of the tender of “Ekonomika” publishing house for the best monograph (1981).

Honoured scientist of the Russian Federation.

Doctor of Economics (1988), professor (1991), academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and the Russian Environmental Academy.
